(LJ’s useless Analysis: The strip above shows a very typical Philippine call center setting. Notice the butterfly attached in the headset? That’s a very common way of expressing one’s sense of humor, sexuality or individuality. Flat screen monitors are used by call centers nowadays to minimize eye strain and usually comes in black so not to look so boring. Surprisingly, the coffee mug is not spill-proof. Spill-proof mugs are usually given to call centers employees for the simple reason that they are less prone to damaging the computers and desks.)

I hate being in collections who work on a Sunday. They get mad as if I committed blasphemy. How I wish paying off debts was so much easier. You have to deal with complaints about so-called illegal charges, which personally I think are fair and reasonable. You have to ALWAYS find a solution to the customer’s debt problem as if money grows in trees. You rarely get commended or thanked for calling them as if it was your fault they spent all their money. On top of that, they refuse to do anything that will help them solve their financial problems and expect that you can provide everything that they would need.
To all the people in debt, I’m not sure if I should be thankful or miserable that you will always be there. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have a job, nor will I have fine lines on my forehead at age 24.

It’s like what a TV cop says when asked “when will these scum learn that crime doesn’t pay?”: “Well, if there were no criminals I’d have no job!”
Nah, if it weren’t for them applying for credit cards (by the way, im with a credit card acct) I wouldn’t be able to support myself. LOL.
